Marshes in Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park, Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain..Salt marsh mosaics, SPAIN/PARQUE NATURAL BAHÍA DE CÁDIZ, ANDALUCÍA, Primeval mudflats shaped by the twice daily movements from the tidal waters of the Atlantic. Green algae grow in the area between high and low tide levels. All around this oasis there is now industrial development, highways and harbours. But this little jewel is still here and is one of over 25,000 protected areas in the Natura 2000 network. The Spanish coasts are some of the most heavily exploited in all of Europe and the last remaining wild stretches are in urgent need of total protection.
